App of the Week – Hootsuite

Hootsuite is a great free social-media management tool available for iPhones, iPads, and Android mobile devices. With Hootsuite you can customize which social networks you want to manage, and which different columns you want to display. For instance, if you are attending a conference that offers participants with an unique Twitter hashtag you may create a search column for that and you will be able to see all of those tweets. APP OF THE WEEK – CAMEO

Cameo is a free app for iOS devices that allows you to create short films on your device as well as to collaborate with friends. The way it works is by allowing you to record clips up to 6 seconds which you can trim and add caption and after you organize the order of the clips + ad title + add free soundtrack + select the filter/mood for your clip you can preview it or share with the world through the cameo app or social media venues. App of the Week – Book Creator

Book Creator is an app for iPads that allows its users to create beautiful iBooks straight from their device. You can input images, videos, audio and text and from there you can export your electronic book directly into iBooks or other book reader applications. There is a free version of the app that allows you to create one e-book at a time and has some advertisements or you can purchase the full version at $4.99. App of the Week – Remind 101

Remind 101 app is a free app for iPhone and iPad that allows you with a safe way to send text messages to students. You do not need this app to use the remind 101 services. You can use it from your desktop devices as well by creating and account at their website: https://www.remind101.com. Students “sign in” to your course by texting an unique course number and after you have the ability to contact them via text message without sharing your personal number nor getting their personal number.
