When we rolled out the badges and points system at the beginning of the semester, we received a few skeptical comments. Using Badges for Faculty Development: Points

This is the third in a series of posts that detail our new system of badges and points. You can read the first post here and the second post here. The setup is pretty simple: faculty and staff participate in various faculty development activities and earn points. Each activity is worth a certain amount of points. Depending on the activity itself and the topic of the activity, those points go into certain badge categories. When enough points in a given category are earned, the badge is earned!
